Welcome to the READI Program:
(We follow the Provincial and York Region Health Covid-19 safety protocols and guidance)
Our main mission is to promote Black excellence and provide Black children with a safe space to learn. We are educators, community advocates, stakeholders and professionals who believe in the Brilliance of our children.
The READI program was created for Black families to ensure that we are preparing children for the upcoming school year. We know that students thrive in an environment that is affirming, supportive and caring. The COVID-19 created challenges for many black families. Many students are facing learning gaps as a result of the pandemic. The READI program aims to get students "READY" for September by providing an a academic and cultural program for students in-person and virtually.
Our goal is to create an affirming environment that supports academic learning for students while creating opportunities to learn about our rich and proud history & culture.
We have an exciting curriculum planned for students alongside experiential learning activities for the students. Throughout the summer we will be having fun theme days for students and cultural community events.
Check our calendar for updates or speak with our Admin team.
Let's get “READI” to learn and celebrate Black excellence.
We gratefully acknowledge funding through the Ontario Government's Safe Return to School Initiative
